Mule Deer Bow season runs September 1–30. This is a classic spot and stalk hunt. They are guided either 1x1 or 2x1. Over the past sixteen years our bow hunters have averaged over 85% shooting opportunity. The success rate is near 70%. Rifle season runs October 1–20 and November 1–30. They are fully guided five-day hunts, either 2x1 or 1x1. Because the areas we hunt are private, we use 4x4s to get around. However, some of our country is extremely rough. The better a hunter is able to get around physically will help during the hunt. We hunt mule deer spot and stalk. Over sixteen years our success rate has been 80% to 95%. Through the years we have averaged taking 2 to 6 bucks each season grossing over 180 BC. Our average width on deer is 24 inches. From 2005 through the 2007 season our hunters averaged taking 5 bucks a year, grossing over 180 BC. The largest was a 192 BC, gross. Along with many other quality buck deer, the hunters' success rate was 90%. The October 2008 rifle season was a good season. October rifle hunters had an 85% success rate. We took 8 November mule deer hunters, harvesting 8 bucks averaging close to 170 BC. The 2009 season turned out very successful. In October we had 25 rifle hunters harvest 24 bucks averaging 160 BC. The largest buck taken was a 192 BC, 5x5. There were many quality bucks remaining after the season, giving good potential for the upcoming years. The license draw success for the Non-Resident Draw, in the mule deer areas, has been 100% successful the last ten years. The fee for a license is $326.00. License fees and dates are subject to change according to Wyoming Game and Fish. We assist all our hunters with the license application process.
