Overall, we were pleased with the Whitetail Rifle season. However, with the Bucks that were seen in late summer and in Whitetail Bow season, we thought we would have done a little better this November. However, there are some really good deer that will another year older next year.
November Whitetail Rifle – Final Stats:
36 hunters harvested 33 Bucks. Making this a 91% harvest.
They were 34 for 36 Shooting – making this a 94%.
Largest Buck taken was a 162 B&C Gross, 5×6.
Average overall was 133.
In addition in November, we took 4 Rifle Muledeer hunters.

2 of these hunters harvest bucks scoring in the mid 170’s.
1 hunter did not harvest a deer. 1 of the Muledeer hunters, harvested a nice Whitetail Buck.

With all the Good bucks seen the week before and starting to see alot of Rut activity, we were really optomistic for this week.
We had some close calls and saw some really good bucks. However, we were unable to get some of them harvested.
8 of the 10 hunters harvested Bucks. There was also 1 miss and 1 cripple on this hunt.
The hunters were 8 for 10 shooting on this hunt. Largest buck taken was a 147 B&C.

We took 10 Rifle hunters this week. All 10 harvested Good Bucks.
Some really good bucks were seen this week. We were able to capture a couple of them.
Some of the Bucks taken this week were a 162, 145, 141, and a 140 B&C.


We took 10 Whitetail Rifle hunters. All 10 harvested good Whitetail Bucks. There were also 3 misses this week.
Largest buck taken was a 146 B&C. Some really good bucks were seen during this hunt. We were unable to get them captured.
We were very optomistic for the Rifle season to begin. We were seeing some really good bucks in our September bow season and were looking forward to hunting with a Rifle.
We hunted 6 Whitetail Rifle hunters the first week. 5 harvested good Whitetail Bucks. We were 6 for 6 shooting.
Largest Buck taken – 145 B&C.
We took 6 Hunters on our 5 day Rifle Elk hunts. These were conducted between October 18th – 29th.
4 of these hunters harvested good Bulls. The 2 hunters that were not successful both had shooting at bulls, unable to recover.
There were many bulls seen during this time period. All 6 hunts were very successful.
We took 16 Antelope Rifle hunters. These 3 day hunts were conducted between Oct. 18th – 30th.
All 16 hunters harvested 16 Proghorn Bucks.



Overall, we were quite pleased with our Muledeer and Antelope Harvest.
The season started out with extreme hot temperatures. Making the first week, very slow.
However, we managed to harvest some pretty good bucks.




After the 1st week, temperature were closer to normal. We were starting to find some of our better bucks.


October 1-20 Summary
Everyone who hunted Antelope in this season, harvested a Buck. Some very nice Antelope buck were taken. Largest being an 82 B&C.
During this time frame we took 40 Muledeer Rifle hunters. 33 harvested mature muley bucks. For and 82% harvest rate. They were 37 for 40 shooting.
This was with 7 misses and 3 cripples.
Largest bucks taken were a 188, 186, 182, 181 and a 180 BC Gross Bucks. In addition 5 other bucks grossing over 170.
Overall, the September hunts went very well. We hunted 6 Rifle Elk hunters in our General area 129. 4 Harvested Bulls.
Our Archery Elk hunter that hunted Limited Quota area 116, did not harvest a Bull.
Our Whitetail Bow hunters had an outstanding season. Our 35 Regular Clients, harvested 25 bucks. Making this a 72% Kill Rate.
Largest Buck being, right at 150 P&Y. Many other good Bucks were taken. And alot of other really good deer seen.
These hunters had a 127 P&Y average. In addition to the harvest, the bow hunters were 31 for 35 shooting. Making it an 88% shooting percentage.
In addition, there were 9 misses and 5 cripples. Through our scouting and September hunting, many good buck were seen. We are hoping for an Outstanding November Rifle season.
